I'm Marina, a devoted knitter with a deep passion for the art of double knitting. Like many of you, I spent years searching for the right tools to help me plan and chart my double knitting patterns — and kept coming up just short. The tools that existed were either too general, too complicated, or missing the specific features that double knitting demands.
So I decided to build my own.
The Double Knitting Design Tool is the result of that wish — a purpose-built chart designer made by a knitter, for knitters. It understands the logic of double knitting: the two-color rows, the mirrored sides, the non-mirrored variations, the way a pattern needs to be read differently depending on which row you're on.
This is not a startup or a commercial product. It's a personal project that I build, maintain, and host entirely on my own — in my own time, at my own expense. There are no investors, no team, and no advertising. Just me and my love for the craft.
I share it freely because I believe the knitting community is generous and collaborative by nature, and I want to give something back to the community that has inspired me for so many years.
